Discover The Everest Region

The Everest Base Camp trek is popular, and for good reason! You have to be a climber, we stick to walk on the trekking routes. We fill the traditional trek to Everest Base Camp with the lesser known Gokyo area. This too is in the Sagarmatha National Park. During this tour you can see the enchanting lakes of Gokyo and climb the Gokyo peak. Here you also have a fantastic view of Mt Everest, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Nilgiri and others. Along the way you pass by several Sherpa villages and can thus meet with the locals. The combination of Gokyo and Everest Base Camp via the Chola Pass makes the trip a lot longer, but also more attractive. Both areas are really worth.
This is a tough trek for which good health and level of fitness is required.
During the city visits, inter alia, Kathmandu durbar square and Swayambunath (the "monkey temple") visited. Both great attractions to be seen at least once every visitor of Nepal "should" have. Swayambunath is a Buddhist stupa on a hilltop with views all over Kathmandu.
Bhaktapur is a quiet town in the Kathmandu valley, protected world heritage and also known for its pottery, carvings and works of handmade paper (lokta). The last two nights, you can enjoy the tranquility and the local rural life in Dadhikot.
