The Langtang Helambu trek takes place in the National Park North of Kathmandu. You will get to know the local Tamang people. The great view on the Langtang Himalayan Range (with peaks upto 7800m) wil surely impress you. The highlights of this trek are crossing the Laurebina Pass (4610m) and the beautiful holy lakes of Gosainkunda.
The last part of the trek brings you through forests and apple yards, and along typical Sherpa-villages along the Melamchi river.
The accommodation during the trek is in trekkers lodges (minimum comfort). A good basic fitness is required.
Cities and crowdy places are avoided during this group tour. But who wants, can choose to visit the capiltal Kathmandu on his/her free day.
Villages as Dadhikot and Balthali (homestay) will show you the real local life.
By making this trip you will get impressive viewpoints at the Himalayas, some culture and above all, lots of nature.
The Chitwan Jungle trip (optional extension) is a 3-days trip towards the South of Nepal. In this nature park at the border of India, animals like the threatened Bengal tiger, rhino’s, crocodiles, bears, snakes, deer and an uncountable amount of bird species, are protected. You will discover the natural beauty from the back of an elephant, from a wooden canoe and while walking in the jungle.
