Trekking

Trekking is the most excellent way of discovering the beauty and the serenity of the Himalayas.  Look at the pictures, they are worth a thousand words!

The term ‘trekking’ means walking, hiking, backpacking, tramping, etc. in the Himalayas, and not rock climbing or mountaineering. Everyone with a basic level of fitness can go for trekking. There are long, short, hard, and easy treks. The local people live in villages along the trek so you can stay in a lodge each night during your trekking vacation.  Those who wish for a wilderness experience can also camp during trekking.

We can guide the trek or recommend an experienced local trekking guide.  Our guides will show you the way on the trail, give you advice about altitude sickness, select suitable lodges, show you the sites, etc.  You will not have to worry about the trekking permit, transportation to and from the trek, and selecting the best places to eat.  The guide will also be available to answer your questions about the mountains, culture, and customs of the area. Additionally, the guide is also available for finding solutions to any situation that may emerge, such as arranging an extra porter or horse if needed along the way.

Porters are available for carrying your baggage. Most of us are not used to letting others carry our baggage, but remember that it’s the porter’s livelihood and they are experienced with the routes. Treat them in a friendly way and they will be good company: you provide them the job! We pay fair wages and insurance for your guide and porters and that is highly appreciated in Nepal.

We have outlined the most well-known trekking routes on this website. Feel free to contact us for more information and other routes. Prices are dependent on the customized vacation that you choose.
