The highlight of this trek are some typical villages, viewpoints and temples in Kathmandu Valley.
On the first day we drive from Bhaktapur uphill to Changu Narayan, to start our trek there. (Changu Narayan is €12 entrance fee, protected world heritage) . The hike of today will take you upto 2775m Nagarkot, a place well known for splendid sunrise and sunsets.
After visiting the Tibetan monastery Namobuddha, we walk a few hours more to reach Balthali, our goal of today. Overnight in a homestay in this traditional village.
Itinerary

Day 1: Nagarkot
From Bhaktapur to Changu Narayan (Hindu temple) via transport and hike to Nagarkot.

Day 2: Dhulikhel
trek from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel (1600m), overnight at hotel

Day 3: Balthali
Walk from Dhulikhel via Namo Buddha (Buddhist monastery and stupa) to the traditional homestay in Balthali.

Day 4 Balthali
A day trip for exploring the small villages surrounding Balthali.
Overnight in the same homestay.

Day 5: Panauti
Trek from Balthali to Panauti, a typical Newari town.
Overnight in a simple guesthouse/ lodge.

Day 6: Dadhikot
Last day trek via forests and fields from Panauti to Dadhikot.
Overnight in Atithi House and end of your trek.
