This short trek in the unspoiled area of Mardi Himal will give you a breathtaking impression of the Himalayas. The tourist bus brings you to the beautiful city at the Fewa-lake (Pokhara), where your trek in the Annapurna region starts. It will take you 5 or 6 days walking to get back in Pokhara.
The trek leads you through amazing fairy-tale forests, grassland and rocky mountains until you reach the upper viewpoint at 4300m altitude. Who wants, can go upto Mardi Himal Base Camp, situated at 4500m.
This trek can be done in the months September, October, November and from February upto and including May.
Itinerary

7 Days Trek

Day 1 : Kathmandu - Pokhara
Pick up at your hotel or guesthouse in Kathmandu ; transportation to Pokhara by tourist bus, overnight in hotel in Pokhara

Day 2 : Pokhara - Pitam Deurali
Car from Pokhara in about 1 hour to Kande (1770m) ; start hiking to Pitam Deurali at 2100m (about 2,5 hours hike).

Day 3 : Pitam Deurali - Rest Camp
From Pitam Deurali through the forests until Rest Camp (2600m) in about 4 hrs. hike.

Day 4 : Rest Camp - High Camp
From Rest Camp via Low Camp and Badeldanda till High Camp (3600m) in 5 hrs. walking.

Day 5 : High Camp - Low Camp
Without luggage to the Upper View Point (4300m) and back via High Camp (lunch) to Low Camp (2970m) ; 6,5 hrs. hiking today.

Day 6: Low Camp - Pokhara
Starting in Low Camp going steep down to Sidhing (1700m) in 2 to 3 hrs. walking ; in Sidhing we take a private jeep for an adventurous drive (2 hrs.) until Pokhara ; rest in Pokhara.

Day 7 : Pokhara - Kathmandu
From Pokhara back to Kathmandu with the tourist bus ; taxi to your hotel or guesthouse in Kathmandu.

Day 1 : Kathmandu - Pokhara
You will be picked up at your hotel or guesthouse in Kathmandu ; transportation to Pokhara by tourist bus, overnight in hotel in Pokhara.

Day 2 : Pokhara - Pitam Deurali
With the taxi from Pokhara in about 1 hour to Kande (1770m) ; start hiking to Pitam Deurali at 2100m (about 2,5 hours hike).

Day 3 : Pitam Deurali - Rest Camp
From Pitam Deurali through the forests until Rest Camp (2600m) in about 4 hrs. hike.

Day 4 : Rest Camp - High Camp
From Rest Camp via Low Camp and Badeldanda till High Camp (3600m) in 5 hrs. walking.

Day 5 : High Camp
Without luggage to the Upper View Point (4300m) and back to High Camp ; 5 hrs. hiking today.

Day 6 : High Camp - Sidhing
From High Camp steep down to Sidhing (1700m) in about 4 hrs. walking.

Day 7 : Sidhing - Pokhara
From Sidhing to Lumre via Ghalel in 2 hrs. hike ; afterwards private jeep to Pokhara (1,5 hrs. drive) ; rest in Pokhara.

Day 8 : Pokhara - Kathmandu
From Pokhara back to Kathmandu with the tourist bus ; taxi to your hotel or guesthouse in Kathmandu.
Price Details
PRICES -> VALID FOR YOUR TREK IN 20247-days trek : price €727 per person (on the basis of 2 persons) or €894 for one person (single trekker). The service of a porter will cost you €171 extra for the full trek and he/she will carry max. 12kg.

Annemie en Dinesh hebben ons enorm geholpen bij het voorbereiden van onze reis naar Nepal.
Wij hadden heel veel vragen die altijd werden beantwoord. Het deel dat ze voor ons hadden georganiseerd was heel goed gedaan, bij het andere deel (dat we zelf wilden organiseren) gaven ze heel veel bruikbare tips.Zelfs tijdens de moesson was dit een fantastische reis. Van de regen hebben we weinig last gehad en soms was het een voordeel dat het bewolkt was, omdat het anders veel te warm was. Wij gaan zeker terug (zelfs in juli)!
