Upper Dolpo Camp Trek
Before Booking a Trip
Quick Inquiry
The Dolpo Region is situated in the “rain shadow” of the Himalayas and remains dry in the monsoon period. That makes it a perfect choice for trekking during the summer months.
The Dolpo Region is isolated, unspoiled and somewhat mysterious. You can see here the Bon-Po religion (precursor of Buddhism) in the villages and old monasteries.
Nature is similar to those of the Tibetan plateau. The fantastic Phoksumdo Lake , the Tsering monastery, crossing the Kang La , the Shey La and jyanta la are the highlights of this trek.
We ask your extra care for the environment, to protect the fragile flora and fauna and to preserve the ancient culture.
For this challenging high-altitude camp trek a very good basic fitness is required.
