The 8-day Langtang trek (6 walking days) takes place in the National Park north of Kathmandu. So you don’t have to travel to the other side of the country first to go up into the mountains. This park is less known to the general public and therefore more authentic than the Everest or Annapurna area.
On this trip you will explore the Tamang area in the beautiful Langtang valley. During the trek you have a fantastic view of the Langtang Himalayan Range (with peaks up to 7800m). The climb from Kyangin (TsergoRi 5033m or KyanginRi 4773m), is the highlight of this trek.
During fall, the cheese factory in the Kyanjin area can be visited (cheese made from local yak milk).
During the trek we spend the night in typical trekkers lodges. A good basic condition and health is required. A good season to plan this trek is from September to May.
Depending on your fitness, you can walk on day 5 to 5033m, to 4773m, a quiet walk in the valley, or to rest.
Local transport can be replaced (at an additional charge) by private transport. Ask for it!
