The Langtang National Park is situated North of Kathmandu. It will take about 6 hours drive to reach the starting point of your trek.
Local people of this area belong to the Tamang (ethnic group). A lot of them are owners of the trekkers lodges along the trail. In this way you will be able to see their lifestyle, culture, clothing, etc.
The Langtang Himalayan Range (with peaks upto 7800m) offers some splendid views. The highest points you will reach on this trek will be Tsergo Ri (from Kyangin) 5033m and crossing the Ganjala Pass (5160m).
While on trekking, trekkers lodges are used to eat and sleep when available. This is our way to support the locals. Only when needed, we will overnight in a camp/ tent.
A good health and basic fitness are required for this challenging trek. The trek can be done from September to December and from February to May. The most perfect months are October to 15 November and February, March and April.
Transportation to the starting point can be local or private, as you prefer.
